MADRID, 11 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Central Contentious-Administrative Court number 11 of Madrid has inadmissible the appeal promoted by LaLiga against the resolution of the CSD on the discrepancy between the Finetwork Liga F and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on the organization and celebration of the calendar of the First Women’s Soccer Division.
As will be recalled, in July 2022 a discrepancy arose between the F League and the RFEF, which forced the CSD to mediate, because both organizations had scheduled the draw for the Women’s Professional Soccer League calendar at their respective venues and parallel way.
Finally, the body chaired by José Manuel Franco decreed that the draw for the competition calendar should be organized by the RFEF in the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas (Madrid), as was done on August 12, 2022 despite the opposition of League F, which understood that it was in charge of assuming that responsibility.
After this draw, LaLiga filed an appeal against the CSD’s resolution that argued that the Professional Women’s Soccer League (LPFF) was set up as the organizer of the competition, but that is not why it is “the only entity with the capacity to develop actions in this regard”. .
“The LPFF cannot organize and hold the draw for pairings on the competition calendar independently of the RFEF. There must be coordinated action on the matter, in which each of the entities perform their corresponding functions,” the CSD ruled.
“For the pairing draw to be held, these conditions must be submitted to the RFEF, so that it can exercise the corresponding coordination function and proceed to hold the draw,” he added.
In the ten-page ruling, to which Europa Press has had access, magistrate Francisco Javier González Gragera declares the inadmissibility “due to lack of active standing” of the appeal filed by LaLiga against said CSD resolution of August 9, 2022, in the one that resolved the discrepancies between the LPFF and the RFEF on the powers for the organization and celebration of the draw for the calendar of the Finetwork Liga F.
