The first physical travel agency of an OTA worldwide, Logitravel Store, celebrates its third anniversary consolidating in Madrid as a point of reference for tourist destinations, hotel chains, shipping companies and other Logitravel Group partners.
The figures obtained so far endorse it. Only in 2019, the store obtained a turnover of 20 million euros, which represents more than a 25% increase, compared to its first year in operation (2018), which resulted in 16 million euros in sales. Based on this growth and the reserves already managed by 2020, Logitravel Store expects to close this new year with a turnover exceeding 22 million euros.
Of the 2 million people who visited in 2019 Kinépolis – City of the Image of Madrid, where this revolutionary space is located, more than 650,000 people passed through its TravelZone, which comprises its large televisions in the shop windows, the side wall of the store and the columns and vinyls of access to this leisure center. In total, 29,000 people booked trips, requested information, confirmed budgets and participated in the many organized events, and over 13 million impacts were controlled.
“We are very satisfied with our results, since they are record numbers for a single point of sale where there is no hiring by groups or companies, but they are purely individual vacations,” says Carlos García-Pastor, director of marketing and Group advertising and CEO of Top Tourism Marketing. In just three years, Logitravel Store has proven to be a profitable initiative and offers its employees maximum visibility to a completely tourist target.
Physical agency, 100% digital
The triumph of the store is not only due to its complete offer of services and products, it is also necessary to highlight its commitment to sustainability (since it is a 100% digital physical agency, without papers or brochures), originality and inspiration through its multiple activations.
During the past year, more than 75 industry partners participated in the Logitravel Store with presence and actions aimed at all audiences; 15 events were organized on weekends and holiday periods on gastronomy, virtual reality games, workshops for families …; the program 'Parallel20' of Radio Marca was recorded several times; and 14 film pre-releases were held in collaboration with large producers and actors, with an average of 400 guests in each of them.
It is worth mentioning as a great milestone of 2019 the realization and production of the first short film of a tourist destination in cinema with 4DX technology, with Lanzarote as the protagonist, which was presented in the specific hall of Kinépolis – Ciudad de la Imagen with great success among the public . By 2020, Logitravel Store already has many other activities ready, with surprising news, movie trips and original actions.
