The events occurred on December 30 at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona, where Alves was enjoying himself in a private room with some friends. They invited some girls to accompany them and he ended up with one in the bathrooms. The young woman reported the alleged rape as soon as he left the nightclub and has renounced possible financial compensation to show that he has no greater interest than seeking justice.
