A discreet Usman Garuba celebrates the Rockets’ victory

MADRID, 8 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish power forward Usman Garuba celebrated this morning the victory of the Houston Rockets over the Charlotte Hornets (109-112), in an NBA day in which Santi Aldama did not participate, due to injury, in the victory of the Memphis Grizzlies over the Milwaukee Bucks ( 114-137) and in which Willy Hernangómez did not have minutes in the New Orleans Pelicans against New York Knicks (113-105).

The Rockets reaped their second consecutive victory and the third in the last four games, but they still haven’t left the bottom position of the Western Conference (21-60). Jalen Green’s 26 points and Kevin Porter’s 26 led the Texans.

Meanwhile, Garuba still does not enjoy the confidence of coach Stephen Silas and was only nine minutes on the track at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, where he scored two points -1 of 3 shots from the field-, grabbed two rebounds and put a block.

For their part, the Memphis Grizzlies, who could not count on Santi Aldama from the Canary Islands -who suffered an elbow injury against the Pelicans-, beat the Bucks with solvency to settle in second place in the Western Conference (51-30 ).

Lastly, Willy Hernangómez did not have minutes in the Pelicans’ victory against the Knicks, with Trey Murphy establishing himself as his team’s leading scorer (31 points). Those from Louisiana, who have won four of their last five games, are seventh in the West (42-39).
