La PalmaVela 2023 will have more than 100 boats and 45 for ‘La Larga’

The 2023 edition of the PalmaVela regatta, which will be held from April 28 to May 7 in the waters of the Bay of Palma, will have 45 boats for its traditional ‘La Larga’ race and a total of 104 for its coastal races, as announced this Thursday from the Real Club Náutico Palma (RCNP).

“We are very happy with the response from the teams, it is undoubtedly a huge injection of morale for the club. We are working year after year so that ‘La Larga’ is established as a classic ‘offshore’ event in the Mediterranean and Europe in spring “said RCNP sports coordinator Vivi Mainemare.

‘La Larga’, a height test through the Balearic archipelago, will celebrate its third edition from April 28 to May 2 with some 500 sailors looking for the podium in the IRC categories, where the novelty of the VO70 ‘I love Poland’ will be ‘, ORC and ORC TO TWO.

As for PalmaVela, there will be 20 countries represented to compete in the ‘inshore’ regattas, with the novelty this year of the 6 Meters to the bulk of the ‘ORC’ fleet, which joins the Dragons and Flying Fifteen, Época, Clásicos and Spirit of Tradition, as well as the J70 and J80 monotypes.
