From now on, the Mercedes, always soaked in intense silver, have some red brushstrokes to give entry to its brand new sponsor: Ineos. The name of the powerful British petrochemical company being visible on the engine cover and nose of the new 'W11'. A millionaire agreement over the next five years that seems to dispel doubts about the future of the German squire in Formula 1.

Between Toto Wolff, chief of the squire, and the millionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, owner of Ineos, lifted the tarp that hides the look of the next blido to drive Lewis Hamilton. In reality, the appearance of the car is simply revealed at the Royal Automobile Club in London with the advent of the new sponsor. Because for the presentation of the new W11 we will have to wait until February 14.

On the backs of the 'W10', the vehicle with which Hamilton won his sixth world crown this year, also highlights a red star in homage to the deceased Niki Lauda. In addition, several Mercedes stars shine the central part of the chassis on both sides.

“It is a moment of great pride to be able to welcome Ineos in Mercedes as a new main partner. The ambition, dynamism and entrepreneurial style of the company fit perfectly with the spirit of Mercedes-AMG Petronas,” said the 'team principal 'and CEO of the team, Toto Wolff.

The petrochemical company, organizer of the non-approved marathon record of Kipchoge and sponsor of the Tour winning team, follows a strategy similar to that of Red Bull. Its owner, Jim Ratcliffe, bought the Nice football, finances a boat (Britannia) in the 2021 America Cup and now makes the leap to Formula 1.
