María Patiño stops a political comment in ‘Save me’: the ethical code is already visible

Forbidden to attack other programs on the network, forbidden to talk about politics and a list of banned characters, including Rocío Carrasco and company. These are some of the commandments of the new Code of Ethics that Alessandro Salem, successor to Paolo Vasile, has imposed on Telecinco and that this Tuesday has already been made visible on the set of Save me.

The moment they have starred pipi road y Laura Fa, who blurted out after the behavior of the sports journalist: “It seems a bit stupid to me, he is a loser …”. Terelu’s ex replied: “I prefer to be a Tolai than an independentista.” Maria Patino, in charge of leading the group in the afternoon, jumped quickly: “Ehhh… Not politics.” And she considered the matter settled, giving way to the worrying situation of Asdrúbal, Bibiana Fernández’s ex-husband.

And it is that the new Code of Ethics of Telecinco makes this question clear: “The presenters and collaborators must refrain from issuing opinions, preferences or political comments within the program,” it says. A whole way of encircling the political opinions that Jorge Javier Vázquez has been launching for years from Sálvame, always aligned with the left-wing parties and with regular criticism of the PP and Vox. This positioning reached its most graphic form that afternoon when the presenter said that Sálvame was “a program for reds and fags.”

As we said, the new regulations also include the prohibition of attacking or criticizing other programs on the channel, ending the public war between La fabrica de tele and Unicorn (producer of Ana Rosa Quintana), as well as the prohibition of abandoning a set, a usual tonic in Sálvame, where we have seen Lydia Lozano, Belén Esteban or Paz Padilla, among others, get scared.
