Getafe and Valencia face their urgencies in Baraja’s debut

MADRID, 19 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Getafe and Valencia, penultimate and third from last classified in LaLiga Santander, close this Monday the twenty-second day with the clear objective of trying to assault or approach the zone of permanence, a match in which the ‘che’ team, in the premiere of Rubén Baraja, needs to end a streak of four consecutive league defeats and the azulón team, six dates without knowing victory.

The last two draws against Atlético de Madrid (1-1) and Rayo Vallecano, both in European positions, give some optimism to those who Quique Sánchez, who with 19 points started the day at three of the salvation places.

In the Mestalla team, Rubén Baraja has taken the baton from the eternal interim Voro, who momentarily took command after the departure of Gennaro Gattuso, to try to straighten the course of a Valencian team that has not won in LaLiga since the 10th of November. Since then, he has dragged six defeats and one draw in seven games and is eighteenth (20) two points below the permanence zone.

The people of Madrid attend the appointment at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez with the infirmary empty and with the only absence of Carles Aleñá, who will have to serve a one-match suspension after being sent off for a double yellow in the draw against Rayo.

Without the suspended Samu Castillejo or the injured Edinson Cavani, Nico González, Jaume Doménech and Thierry Correia, the ‘Pipo’ will have to put together his first eleven on his return to the Valencian club, perhaps betting on a 4-4-2 that he already showed during his adventure at Real Zaragoza.
