Cartagena picks up pace at the expense (2-1) of Real Oviedo

MADRID, 17 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Cartagena prevailed (2-1) this Friday against Real Oviedo at the start of matchday 28 of LaLiga SmartBank, making a good first half to pick up positive dynamics with two consecutive victories.

Luis Carrión’s team, which had gone eight games without winning until last week, made a good win against Eibar against an Oviedo team that was greatly outclassed in the first half. Martos and Musto thrashed from the beginning, a 2-0 that could have been greater at the Cartagonova and that made Oviedo’s warm-up very difficult.

The Asturian team reacted as best they could and, with Sequeira’s 2-1 lead, they had a final 10 minutes in which they made the locals suffer. Efesé thus recovers its enthusiasm for the ‘Top 6’ and Oviedo loses strength although it maintains a cushion with relegation.
