MADRID, 8 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Alves Carreira became a new RC Celta player this Wednesday, as a reinforcement for the Spanish team’s goal after the serious injury of Agustín Marchesín.
“Diego Alves is a new RC Celta player. The Italian-Brazilian goalkeeper arrives at the sky-blue team -after Agustín Marchesín’s injury- as a free agent after finishing his contract with CR Flamengo”, announced the Vigo team.
“The goalkeeper returns to LaLiga, where he has already played more than 300 matches between UD Almería and Valencia CF. Diego Alves is an international with Brazil, the team with whom he played in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and a Copa América, in addition to being the holder of the record for maximum saver from the penalty spot in the history of LaLiga with 22 saves”, he added.
Celta thus covers the loss of a Marchesín who said goodbye to the season last week due to a tear in the left Achilles tendon produced during training.
