Joan Mir: “It’s time to continue adapting to the new challenge that lies ahead”
MADRID, 8 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish rider and eight times motorcycling world champion Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) assured this Wednesday that the important thing in the official MotoGP test in Sepang (February 10-12) is to see how Honda has worked to try to improve the problematic motorcycle of the last years.
“The most important thing is to see how Honda has worked during the winter and to begin to understand where the bike is and where we are. I look forward to an interesting test and to be able to get back on the bike,” he said in statements provided by HRC.
Márquez, who faces this new campaign without injury problems -in principle already overcome-, acknowledged having spent “a good winter”. “I have been training a lot to be prepared to start the year in the best possible way. Of course, it will also be nice to see the team again,” he acknowledged.
For his part, his new teammate, fellow MotoGP champion Joan Mir, assured that he wants to continue improving and adapting to the Honda, which he tested in the official post-season test last November in Valencia.
“In Valencia we started to learn some things, so now it’s time to work with the Repsol Honda Team to continue adapting to the new challenge that lies ahead,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to getting back on the Honda and riding the RC213V again,” he added.
