MADRID, 4 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
RC Celta beat Real Betis (3-4) this Saturday on matchday 20 of LaLiga Santander, with goals and a good game to believe in the second round, while the Andalusians lose again, their third defeat in the last four games, in their fight for the Champions League area.
The Galician team struck almost on the four occasions on goal that they had, a punch that their rival did not show off, despite having options until the last second. Benito Villamarín lived a vibrant and beautiful duel in goals, tarnished in a long discount due to the brawl that left Luiz Felipe red.
Celta could not savor a great goal from Larsen after six minutes, since Betis, with the support of their fans, tied the three with Juanmi and in minute 23 they were already winning with Canales’ 2-1. The game calmed down, almost to the good of the visitor, but Celta was unable to deepen with clear chances.
However, on the brink of half-time, Gabri Veiga slipped through the center-backs, with mastery of control and finishing, and confirmed the night of goals in Seville (2-2). Betis needed a lot to see the goal and that’s what happened in the second half, when Gabri signed his double, while Miranda wasted a goal pass from Canales.
With 20 minutes remaining, Aidoo made it 2-4 and Villamarín began to lose faith. The noise went down, but Betis kept trying. Ayoze Pérez made his debut and Luiz Henrique also entered, although the clearest, in front of goal, was from Abner. In the end, a hand from Mingueza allowed Betis to cut back with Fekir’s penalty (3-4).
Pellegrini’s team went all out but the game became cloudy when Aspas kept the ball and Luiz Felipe slapped him that cost him the red card. The tension between the two benches still left time for a little more football, two headers, especially the second one, from Édgar that they were able to distribute the spoils. Celta, who are currently fighting for permanence, had their big night this year.
