MADRID, 15 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
RCD Espanyol beat Getafe (1-2) this Sunday on matchday seventeen of LaLiga Santander, a result that allows them to leave the relegation positions and level on points with the Azulón team.
It only took Diego Martínez’s team five minutes to take the lead at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, after Martin Braithwaite and Luis Milla fought in midfield for a ball that remained dead so that Joselu, from the central circle, surprised the azulón goalkeeper with a very powerful shot to lodge it in the bottom of the meshes (min.5).
Just two minutes later came the reply from Quique Sánchez Flores’ men with a shot by Enes Ünal from the top of the box to the top corner to equalize the game (min.7), before the team went all out with three changes to rest -Iglesias, Gastón and Munir for Aleñá, Damián Suárez and Alderete-.
However, it was the parakeet team that managed to take the lead again, in an action in which Javi Puado dribbled past the Madrid defense to stand up to Álvaro Fernández and beat him with a hat (min.61).
In this way, the Catalans match Getafe’s 17 points, which is conceding its second consecutive defeat, and leave the danger zone, from which they are now separated by two units.
