Barça takes revenge against Inter to win the Super Cup

MADRID, 8 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Barça was proclaimed champion of the Spanish Super Cup this Sunday by beating Inter FS (3-5) in the final of the title played at the Palau de Esports in Alzira.

Jesus Velasco’s men, with Carlos Ortiz also taking on his former team, took a second definitive step after knocking out ElPozo Murcia to win their fourth Super Cup.

The first title in contention was for a Barça that took some revenge against an Inter that had won seven of the eight finals played between them until today. The Spanish League and Cup champion last season, in addition to the ‘Champions’, left no doubts about his return after the Christmas break.

All in all, the culé team had to come back in the second half from the 1-0 that they sent at halftime. Sergio González equalized the game and Barça tilted the court over the Madrid goal with goals from Antonio and Adolfo. Despite the blow, Inter stayed alive with Cecilio’s 2-3 draw four minutes from time.

However, Dyego and Marcenio finished tying the Barça triumph, a team, beyond the important casualties, that wants to extend the good state of health of the Velasco era.
