RCD Espanyol conquers for the fourth time LaLiga Promises International

MADRID, 29 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

RCD Espanyol won this Thursday the XXVI edition of the LaLiga Promises International Tournament, the Under-12 category tournament that takes place in the Gran Canaria town of Maspalomas, a fourth title for its special record for the victory (2-1) in the final against FC Barcelona.

Joan González led the final for Espanyol in a magnificent personal action from the corner of the area. Barça tried to react after the goal and found two magnificent saves by the blue and white goalkeeper Pau Casagolda. The culé team looked for the goal again in the second half but the parakeet behind was very serious.

Aitor Torondel sentenced the victory with a penalty despite the fact that Barça cut back at the end and gave the outcome suspense. After the titles achieved in 2003, 2004 and 2013, all in Tenerife, Espanyol adds one more to their record, giving polish to their youth system.
