Polina Berezina teaches a class to 42 girls from the Barajas Rhythmic Gymnastics Club

The Councilor for Sport of the Madrid City Council and councilor for the Barajas district, Sofía Miranda, attended this Tuesday the master class that the Spanish gymnast Polina Berezina, a member of the Spanish rhythmic team, offered to 42 girls at the Municipal Sports Center Villa de Madrid Pavilion in this Madrid district to 42 girls from the Barajas Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, and from other gymnastics schools in Arganzuela and Hortaleza.

Miranda highlighted the importance of girls in the capital “being able to enjoy and learn from their sports idols by participating in initiatives like this, which they will never forget” and which is part of the Christmas activities organized by the Barajas Municipal Board.

In addition, the mayor stressed that the objective is to ensure that these girls “never stop practicing sports thanks, among other things, to this great experience” with a Berezina who is currently training at the High Performance Center in Madrid to prepare for the World Cup Valencia, which will be held in August 2023 and where he hopes to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
