The Portuguese “Seljm” and the Spanish “Bribon 500” lead the Concello de Sanxenxo de Vela Trophy

The Portuguese boat “Seljm” of Patrick Monteiro de Barros in Open and the “Bribon 500” of José Cusí, of the Olympic champion Alejandro “Jane” Abascal, in the Classics division, were the winners of the tests held this Friday in the Trophy Concello de Sanxenxo, from the last series of the Spanish Sailing Cup of 2022.

After the Portuguese boat in the Open division, it was Michael Larsson’s Swedish boat “Delphina” who crossed the finish line in second position after a one-on-one with Violeta Álvarez’s Spanish “Stella”, who completed the provisional podium.

While in Classics, after the victory of the “Ribbon 500”, Alicia Freire’s “Titia”, skippered by Mauricio Sánchez-Bella, and Dirk Stolp’s Finnish “Valdai” qualified, second and third respectively.

On Saturday, the second day of the tournament will take place, in which the regatta committee chaired by Alejandro Martín from Marin, will try to force the daylight hours to try to do up to three more races, starting the day at 1:00 p.m.
