MADRID, 17 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Madrid monopolized the 2022 Globe Soccer Awards gala in Dubai this Thursday with the awards it received as ‘best club’, in addition to those awarded to Florentino Pérez, Carlo Ancelotti and Karim Benzema, while the Spanish Sergio Ramos was chosen ‘Best defenseman of all time’.

The white team was chosen ‘best team of the year’ after winning the Champions League, the League, the European Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup. “My gratitude for this Globe Soccer Award that I personally receive and also for the one that you have awarded to Real Madrid as the best club in the world. Being president of Real Madrid is a source of great pride, but it is also an enormous responsibility because this club generates a feeling that unites millions of people in all parts of the world”, said Florentino, ‘best president’.

“I share this award with all the madridistas who support us every day, and especially with our fans in the United Arab Emirates, with the aim of continuing to work to try to win new titles and share new joys,” he added.

Similarly, Ancelotti received the award in his position, the Italian being the only coach in history with four European Cups and the first to win the League in the 5 major championships (Spain, Germany, France, England and Italy).

For his part, Benzema received the Globe Soccer 2022 award for best player of the year. The Real Madrid striker, winner of the Ballon d’Or and the UEFA Player of the Year Award, led the team to the fourteenth, the 35th League, the 12th Spanish Super Cup and the 5th European Super Cup. Benzema beat Haaland and Salah in the vote.

For his part, among other winners, former Madrid player Sergio Ramos, current player for Paris Saint-Germain, received the award for ‘best defense of all time’. The Spanish central defender dreamed of being in the World Cup in Qatar and in the end he went to Doha for an important individual recognition.
