The biography of the lesser-known Esther Doña helps to understand so much embarrassment: “Complicated character”

It is not known if it causes more astonishment, the sudden marital breakdown of the Dowager Marchioness of Griñón, two days after announcing in Hello, the (syrupy) intention of the malagueña and the judge Santiago Pedraz to marry; or else his explanations in the next issue of the magazine, justifying the mess.

Faced with the word of the magistrate, who is supposed to be a person not given to lies, Esther Dona justifies the author of the wedding report that she does not know or have a clue why her ex-fiancé has left her.

The former model assures that she does not understand anything and also lies about the dates on which Pedraz ended the relationship, which occurred many days before the exclusive announcing eternal love was published.

The Andalusian had plenty of time to notify the publication to avoid the appearance of the report. However, she was confident, she says, that it would be one more temporary fight, of the many they had had in this year of relationship.

So their courtship was not as idyllic and perfect as they had sold us until now in their leading magazine and the repeated poses giving the image of lovebirds. Or maybe Esther Doña is so naive that she thought she would still charge what was agreed for the exclusive, even though she left the weekly in such a bad place that she, unintentionally, fell victim to the timo, like its numerous readers, who paid to read a lie.

Some of those who know the former model well, later a beautician and finally Marchioness consort, among other unofficial episodes, have not been surprised by the grotesque outcome. They remind us of her hectic married life, which began in the Madrid neighborhood of Santa Eugenia, together with Francis Garrido, a modest businessman with whom he opened Karma, an unassuming beauty salon on Calle Aduana in Madrid, Perpendicular to Montera and a stone’s throw from Puerta del Sol. The business failed at the same time as their marriage.

That of Judge Pedraz has not been the only relationship between Esther Doña and a prestigious jurist. The second husband that she had had been Lawyer of the Courts before becoming an international businessman, with a flat in London and a semi-detached house in La Finca. They were married in the British capital, but did not register the marriage in the Civil Registry, which made subsequent divorce easy. On her day, when Esther began her relationship with him Marquis of de Griñón We spoke with this businessman, Ángel, who has asked us not to publish his last name. The memory of her life with Esther does not say much in her favor.

When they were in London, he let one of his wife’s sisters go live with them, he paid for English classes for them, at one of the best language schools in the capital, but, as he admits, they didn’t learn a word, nor did they take advantage of the cultural and tourist offers of the city.

Esther and her second husband separated, according to sources close to the husband’s environment, due to her alleged infidelity. Even so, she Doña Ella kept a high-end car and two apartments in Las Rozas, which she had bought with the guarantee of this second husband. But something happened after the breakup, and Esther He ended up appearing in November 2016, in the Investigating Court number 4 of Majadahonda, to respond to a criminal complaint for alleged procedural fraud, accusation and false complaint. She was accompanied by the best lawyers, made available to her by who was then her fiancé, Carlos Falcó.

It seems that Doña had many debts, product of failed businesses that she launched during her second marriage and the intervention of her husband’s brother in them, would have further complicated the financial situation of the companies. Esther’s two apartments were seized and she, although she managed to recover them through the courts, was accused of alleged procedural fraud.

In the lawsuit it was argued that Esther Doña would have falsified documents and even a signature to get the embargo annulled. She never wanted to explain this episode, from which it seems that she emerged more or less unscathed, thanks to the effective work of the marquis’s lawyers.

The night between the Eurobuilding the police station

On the other hand, Esther only talks about good and sweet news. Like the ones she tells in her book The life of a great man through my eyes, published in 2021, dedicated to the romantic memories of her relationship with Carlos Falcó. But there is not a single line in the book. the night that the Marquis, who was then 82 years old, had to spend at the police station, for alleged mistreatment of his wife, during a loud discussion in the hotel Eurobuilding from Madrid. The judge set Falcó free the next morning, convinced of his evident innocence, good manners and peaceful character. Nor were the relations between the Marquis of Griñón so idyllic and his fourth wife. Each one lived in a floor of the El Rincón palace, people close to the marriage say. In the family home, they add, the wife’s mother ruled more than the owner of the mansion.

Nor does the widow Marchioness mention in her book that when Aldara, the youngest daughter of Carlos Falcó and Fatima de la Cierva, was returning to El Rincón on vacation, after a course in Austria, the young woman found her room occupied by Esther’s mother, and, when protesting (because they had thrown her belongings in the trash), her father’s wife organized such a scandal that Aldara and the Marquis had to lock themselves in a bathroom, while Esther shouted tremendous things at them. The young woman recorded her stepmother’s scandal on her mobile, as we already told, and those who have listened to the scene have goosebumps.

People who have come to live with Esther Doña say that “she has a problem.” They speak of her “complicated character of her” and of “not seeing reality or hiding it, in addition to a changing personality that sometimes leads to disastrous episodes for her and those around her.” Perhaps Pedraz has fled in time from this type of problem.
