MADRID, 1 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish basketball team player Lorenzo Brown assured that he felt “great” after his first game in a major continental competition with Spain, in which his teammates made him “feel at home” so that he only had to contribute their “energy” and do what the “coach asked” of them.
“I have felt great, these guys make me feel at home, they are great players and I just wanted to contribute my energy and do what the coach has asked me to do”, explained Lorenzo Brown at the press conference after the great victory this Thursday from Spain over Bulgaria.
Lorenzo Brown had 17 points and five assists in his debut, with 60% coming from beyond the three-point line. “We played well, passed the ball, found open shots and that was what we had to do to win the game,” he said.
However, the base believes that Spain can still adjust some details for the following matches. “In defense we can improve a lot and now we have to improve those things for the next game,” he declared.
“Honestly I’ve made sure that everyone watched this match because it was my first time in a tournament like this, everyone in my house is proud of me and what I’m doing so I’ve made sure everyone has the information to be able to watch the game”, admitted Lorenzo Brown.
The player’s response did not go unnoticed by his coach, Sergio Scariolo, who appeared alongside him and took the opportunity to comment on the low presence of the public in the pavilion. “I’m sure there were more of Lorenzo’s relatives watching the game online than there were fans in the stands today,” joked the coach.
