“Elected officials who dance? We are here for it, Sanna Marin,” the Democratic representative wrote next to the 10-second clip in which she dances to the rhythm of WarEdiwn Starr’s classic hit, outside his office on Capitol Hill.

Ocasio-Cortez, who is immersed in your wedding preparations with web designer Riley Roberts, was already criticized in 2019 for a video similar to Marin’s. “Heard the GOP thinks women who dance are scandalous. Wait till they find out congresswomen dance too!” AOC wrote on Twitter at the time.

The Prime Minister of Finland has also received the support of Hillary Clinton. The former US Secretary of State shared a photo of herself partying and wrote: “Keep dancing Sanna Marin.”

Sanna Marin, 36, gave an emotional speech apologizing for the controversial clip, but recalling that she, too, is entitled to a private one: “I’m human and sometimes I miss the fun and the light in the midst of these dark clouds (… .) I haven’t missed a single day of work and I haven’t left anything undone.”
