Marc Márquez gets back on the bike and continues with his recovery

MADRID, 31 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish rider Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) took another step this Wednesday in his recovery from his last operation on his right arm and got back on a motorcycle, which increases hopes that he can race again in the World Championship Motorcycle this year.

The one from Cervera, eight times world champion, had to leave the championship again after the Italian Grand Prix last May to travel to the United States to undergo a new operation, the fourth, due to the continuous discomfort in the shoulder produced from his fall in Jerez in 2020.

“Today I have a permanent smile. After a lot of effort I get back on the bike. Thanks to all of you who are always pushing behind. We continue!” Márquez wrote on his official ‘Twitter’ profile after riding a Honda CBR600RR in the MotorLand Aragón circuit.

This increases the expectations that the Catalan can race in the final stretch of the Motorcycle World Championship, something that he had already dropped during the last Austrian Grand Prix. “My intention is to do a race this year and next week I will have the answer if it is possible or not. I don’t know if it will be two or three, but it is important to return to prepare for 2023,” he explained.

Days after these statements, he received the go-ahead from the doctors to increase the intensity in his training and now the next step could be his presence in the test that will take place in Misano after the San Marino Grand Prix this weekend .
