MADRID, 22 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Veteran power forward Udonis Haslem confirmed that he will play his twentieth consecutive season in the NBA, all of them in the ranks of the Miami Heat, although he suggests that this 2022-2023 campaign may be the last he will play.
“I have decided to continue with what my father and I have talked about, I am going to finish what I have started. I am going to play 20 years, I will play this year,” Haslem declared during his children’s campus in Miami.
Haslem, 42, is the top rebounder in the history of the franchise, with which he reached six NBA finals and has won three championship rings. “It won’t be the same and it won’t be easy, but the goal remains the same: to win, to win the championship,” he assured.
The veteran player assures that he will continue “online”. “Keep your head up when this is all over. I still have one more year in me, I have one more for the city, I have one more for my teammates,” he said.
For the next season, Udonis Haslem will sign for one year and 2.9 million dollars, and in the last season he played only 13 games, accumulating a total of 872 games with the Miami Heat, for whom he has become a legend and a symbol of the franchise.
