MADRID, 17 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish cyclist Oier Lazkano achieved this Wednesday the fifteenth position in the European time trial in Munich (Germany), while Sandra Alonso and Ziortza Isasi were 22nd and 24th respectively, in the women’s event.

With start and finish in the town of Fürstenfeldbruck, the time trial was mainly held on a flat 24-kilometre route and which left the Swiss Stefan Bissegger as the new continental champion on a glorious day for the country as the women’s time trial also carried the signature of the Swiss Marlen Reusser.

Oier Lazkano, the Spanish representative in the men’s time trial, was 15th position after not having found the best. “I have not reached the wattage that I should have reached, perhaps I came out very fast on the initial slope and on the flat that was above, but you learn from everything and this is one more experience,” he lamented.

“I am sad to know that with my numbers I could have been a little higher and that is why I don’t have a very good taste in my mouth”, said Lazkano after completing the time trial in a time of 28 minutes and 50 seconds, which even They were momentarily worth the first position.

For their part, Sandra Alonso, bronze medalist in the specialty at the last Spanish Championship, and Ziortza Isasi, were far from the best in the time trial. Alonso finished in 22nd position after completing the time trial in 33:59 and Ziortza Isasi was 24th after setting a time of 34:49.
