Estupiñán leaves Villarreal and heads to Brighton & Hove Albion

MADRID, 17 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ecuadorian Villarreal player Pervis Estupiñán parted ways with the Castellón club on Tuesday and signed a five-year contract with Brighton & Hove Albion, a team from the English Premier League.

“Brighton are pleased to announce the signing of defender Pervis Estupiñán from Villarreal, for undisclosed terms (…) The Ecuadorian international and winner of the 2021 Europa League has signed a contract until June 2027”, indicates the English club without offering more details of the transfer.

His new coach Graham Potter said he was very happy with the arrival of 24-year-old Estupiñán: “We are excited about what Pervis brings us and he fills a role we have been looking to add depth to. As well as his international experience, he has played in Villareal in the Champions League and Europa League, and he has a lot of experience in LaLiga”, he highlighted.

Estupiñán spent four seasons in Spain wearing the shirts of Granada, Almería, Mallorca and Osasuna, before joining Villareal permanently in 2020. The ‘tri’ player leaves the ‘submarine’ after 74 games and with the Europa League as great conquest.
