MADRID, 31 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
French tennis player Caroline Garcia and Czech Marie Bouzkova won the WTA titles in Warsaw and Prague on Sunday, beating Romanian Ana Bogdan 6-4, 6-1 and Russian Anastasia Potapova 6-0, 6-3 in final paths.
Garcia lifted the second title in the last five weeks, a golden summer for the gala, which brought this Sunday the ninth trophy in its record at the expense of a Bogdan who was playing her first WTA final on Polish clay.
Meanwhile, in the WTA 250 but on a hard court in the Czech capital, the local Bouzkova celebrated the double prize of winning her first title and also doing it at home. The Czech’s dream was well deserved, not dropping a set this week in Prague.
