The ATP released updates to its 2022 season schedule on Thursday, following the cancellation of the China tour and the inclusion of six new one-year licensed tournaments, including one in Gijón on an indoor court.

To compensate for the gaps that remain in the calendar, the association has granted one-year licences, which it launched in 2020 in response to the cancellations due to the pandemic, for six tournaments, one of them in Gijón, which will host an indoor event between on October 10 and 16.
San Diego (Hard Court between September 19-25), Seoul (Hard Court between September 26-October 2), Tel Aviv (Indoor Court between September 26-October 2), Florence (Indoor Court between on October 10-16) and Naples (hard court between October 17-23) are the other five cities chosen.
