MADRID, 10 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The rider Toni Bou (Repsol Honda) won a double this weekend at the new Trial GP track in Neunkirchen (Germany), with victory in the two races for the Spaniard, plus the overall leader with 114 points after the six rounds held .
In a route characterized by its difficulty, Bou prevailed on Saturday from the beginning, dominating both tasks, until taking the first final position, despite the complex sections of the German track. However, the Repsol Honda rider had to come back on the second day after being in second position on the first lap.
“I am very satisfied with the weekend here in Germany. For us it was a complicated and uncomfortable race, both yesterday and today. We knew we couldn’t make any mistakes on the second day”, explained Toni Bou, who admitted two “serious” mistakes in the first round.
“Going into the second lap, we knew that the driver who didn’t fail would be the winner, so I tried my best. We made a small mistake in zone 6, although I also wanted to make sure a bit, since making a 5 there it could mean having lost the race,” he said.
The Spanish rider took victory in zone 11 of the German track. A double victory that allows him to increase his distance from his rivals. “Now Jaime Busto is second, 23 points behind, and the truth is that having so many points ahead after only 6 races is very positive, although there is still a lot of championship left,” he said.
In this way, at 35 years old, Bou is more leader of the general with 114 points. The next Trial GP day will be on August 21 in Comblain au Pont (Belgium).
