The Andalusian team has also signed attacker Fran Sol on loan
BARCELONA, 6 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Canary striker Rubén Castro has become this Wednesday a new Málaga player for next season, so he will continue in LaLiga SmartBank after playing last season at Cartagena.
“The lethal attacker joins the Málaga CF project for the current 22/23 season that has just started. From today, Rubén Castro joins the blue and white discipline and tomorrow he will meet his new teammates”, the team announced after the player has not renewed with Cartagena.
Rubén Castro, at 41 years old, has 22 seasons in professional Spanish football, including twelve in LaLiga Santander and ten in LaLiga SmartBank, in which he has scored a whopping 278 goals. Last season he signed 20 goals, which shows his form in the silver category.
“Infallible and unpredictable. His power and precision in shooting, his inexhaustible resources in the shot and a privileged sense of smell, make him a differentiating pillar in attack,” said Málaga in a statement about his new signing.
The striker has worn the jerseys of UD Las Palmas, RC Deportivo de la Coruña, Real Racing Club de Santander, Albacete Balompié, Gimnástic de Tarragona, SD Huesca, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, Real Betis, and FC Cartagena in a career that has not yet has come to an end.
Also, the Andalusian team signed attacker Fran Sol this Wednesday, who belongs to the Ukrainian Dinamo kyiv and will play for Málaga in the 22/23 season on loan with an option to buy.
Thus, Sol returns to the Spanish silver division in which he scored a dozen goals in the 20/21 season at CD Tenerife and in the recent 21/22 season five more at SD Eibar.
