Both played as center forwards for Athletic and both have been coaching for some time. Jon Pérez Bolo, who played for Ponferradina last season, will now be the new Oviedo coach. The one from Rekalde thus comes to occupy the position left by Kuko Ziganda, who for a few days has assumed the responsibility of directing Huesca.
Bolo leaves his old club through the front door. After arriving at the Bierzo club from Arenas and finding the team in Second B, the Bilbao coach got promoted to Second A, kept the team in the category and was about to put it in the playoff for promotion to First. The Biscayan coach, despite everything, understood that his stage in Ponferrada had come to an end.
The same thing that happened to Kuko Ziganda in Oviedo. The Navarrese coach prevented the Carbayón team from descending to Second B in the first instance, kept the team more comfortable throughout his second season and in this last one he has finished in playoff points for promotion to First Division, but his worst goal average with Girona he took him out of sixth place.
The Navarrese, without receiving a specific offer to renew, chose to end his time at Oviedo and accept the offer that Huesca subsequently presented him with. This departure caused a void in the Carlos Tartiere bench, a void that from now on will be filled by Bolo.
