Jenni Hermoso misses the EURO due to a knee injury

MADRID, 14 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The forward of FC Barcelona Jennifer Hermoso will not be able to play the next European Championship in England with the Spanish team due to an injury to her right knee that has caused her to leave the concentration of the national team in the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas (Madrid).

“The soccer player leaves the discipline of the national team after being diagnosed with a grade two sprain of the internal lateral ligament of her right knee. The national coach, Jorge Vilda, will communicate the player who joins the team in the next few hours,” the team said in the portal ‘sefutbol.com’.

The Madrilenian, one of the three captains of the team along with Alexia Putellas and Irene Paredes, has been suffering from knee discomfort since the end of May and was no longer able to participate in the ‘Final Four’ of the Copa de la Reina.

Jorge Vilda had called her up with the hope of being able to get her back given that she is a key player in their offensive network and with a lot of experience, but the striker had to leave the concentration after not having been able to participate in either of the two training sessions.
