Gareth Southgate, England manager, launched this Monday a message to the Manchester United players who are currently out of the national ‘pross’ team. Southgate told them they have “a lot of things to do” to get back into the England squad for the World Cup.

Full-back Luke Shaw is injured, while Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were not summoned due to his poor fitness. Harry Maguire is the only United player called up for Tuesday’s game against Hungary.

Southgate have been without Rashford and Sancho since the England defeat in the final of the last European Championship (on penalties against Italy). But the England coach said that both have the opportunity to change his mind through the games they will play with United before the World Cup (which begins on November 21). Neither one nor the other participated in the last 3 Premier matches, in which United finished 6th, out of the Champions League.
