Bordalás stops being coach of Valencia

MADRID, 3 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Valencia announced this Friday the dismissal of José Bordalás from Alicante as coach of the Valencian first team, thanking him for “all his work and dedication” during his only season at the ‘che’ club, as confirmed by the entity in a statement.

“Valencia CF announces that José Bordalás is ending his time as coach of the first team,” confirmed Valencia, who wished him “good luck” in the future.

In addition, from the bat team, which is already preparing the new project without Anil Murthy as president and with the Italian Genaro Gattuso as the best placed to take charge of the ‘ché’ bench, they thanked Bordalás for “all his work and dedication” during his stage as a Valencianista, highlighting the team’s classification for the Copa del Rey final, in a concise text issued by the club.

The coach from Alicante signed for Valencia in May 2021, signing for the next two seasons and an optional third. In its first and only season in Mestalla, the team led by Bordalás finished ninth in LaLiga Santander with 48 points, with the final of the Copa del Rey, in which they brushed the title by reaching penalties against Betis, it was the greatest achievement for the coach on the Valencian bench.
