Newcastle want to sign Fekir

Betis is looking closely at the market at the gates of a summer that can bring changes to its squad. The economic needs multiply and it is taken for granted that there will be some important exit in the coming weeks for the coffers to take a breather. Nabil Fekir is not the main candidate to be in the showcase, but Newcastle’s interest in acquiring the Frenchman’s services resurfaces from England. At the moment, only a handful of intentions are on the table under figures of around 35 million euros. Some numbers far removed from those that the Verdiblanco club would manage to secure their goodbye.

In Heliopolis there is caution. But also there is the certainty that no one is non-transferable. Fekir was one of the most decisive footballers in this remarkable team campaign and also one of the pieces that renewed his contract. His clause is one hundred million, something that the Verdiblanco president, Ángel Haro, was already in charge of remembering, when Barcelona’s hypothetical interest entered the fray months ago. Only an offer that leaves a good capital gain in the Betic entity would make it possible to leave it.

The player’s pretensions also come into play. He always stated that he is happy at Betis and at the moment he does not see a goodbye except for the appearance of a high offer that satisfies all parties. Newcastle burst into force in the last winter market and intends to spread more wings this summer in order to improve the performance of its squad by pulling the checkbook. And Fekir is still on that wish list.
