The director of Institutional Relations of Real Madrid, Emilio Butragueñohas encouraged the children and young people of Palencia that this summer they will participate in the Campus Experience of the Real Madrid Foundationto have fun and learn the values of respect, teamwork and self-improvement that are inherent to football.
Together with Emilio Butragueño, the President of the Diputación de Palencia, Ángeles Armisén, presented this Thursday the Campus Experience of the Real Madrid Foundation which, for the first time, will be held in Palencia, next August.
The campus will be developed in the towns of Aguilar de Campoo and Villamuriel de Cerratoand will feature the participation of more than two hundred boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 17.
During the presentation, Emilio Butragueno He has encouraged them to “have fun playing” but also to learn the values that are transmitted through the game of football and that “are typical of the history of Real Madrid”.
He has listed values such as respect, teamwork and the desire to excel that, as he said, “will help you in the future to face daily challenges because football is a life lesson”, he assured.
“Every day is an opportunity to be better and give one hundred percent in everything you do”, added the former international player, who thanked the Provincial Council of Palencia their support to be able to develop in this province one of the fifteen campuses that currently teach in Spain with more than 4,000 children.
For her part, the President of the Provincial Council, Angeles Armisen, He thanked the opportunity that this experience offers to children in rural areas “opening the door to equal opportunities for all children regardless of where they live”.
Armisén has valued this initiative “which combines sports practice with training in values and healthy habits”, and which will teach children the specific methodology of Real Madrid, for which he has relied on the reception it will have among families and the clubs, since in addition, both the Diputación and the municipalities have made an effort to reduce the amount of registrations.
The Campus Experience in the province of Palencia It will take place from August 8 to 12 in Villamuriel de Cerrato and from August 22 to 26 in Aguilar de Campoo, with technical sessions given by Real Madrid coaches and free time sessions by qualified instructors. The participants will be able to enjoy a visit to the Real Madrid Sports City in Valdebebas.
The mayors of the two towns involved were also present at the press conferenceMaría José Ortega (Aguilar de Campoo) and Roberto Martín (Villamuriel de Cerrato)who have shown their satisfaction with the initiative and for being the first municipalities to host this innovative sports project in Palencia.
