Athletic prepares its defense against Deportivo’s claim

Deportivo de La Coruña, as it implied at the end of the match against Bilbao Athletic in Lezama, has filed a claim with the Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee for a possible improper alignment of the Atletico subsidiary. The Galician club understands that Artola and Diarra had to serve a sanction in said match due to the accumulation of cards. Athletic, however, maintains that its players fulfilled said punishment in the game that was suspended and not played the previous day against the missing Extremadura.

Those responsible for the Bilbao club have a week to present their own allegations to the claim presented by Depor. From Lezama they insist that the pertinent consultation was carried out before the celebration of the match and this was that both puppies could play. There is no signed record, yes, of such confirmation. Bilbao Athletic now runs the risk of losing the added point against Deportivo.
