Joventut is third and Obradoiro surprises BAXI Manresa

MADRID, 2 Apr. (SportsFinding) –

Joventut won (63-77) over Casademont Zaragoza this Saturday on matchday 27 of the Endesa League to take third place, which was also aspired to by BAXI Manresa who were beaten (98-91) by Monbus Obradoiro in the extension.

‘La Penya’ chained their sixth win in a row, 18 in total, with two devastating partials that knocked down the team in the third quarter and in the last minutes. A 0-13 and another 0-10, Joventut left Basket Zaragoza in the penultimate position of the table.

Brodziansky (10 points, 10 rebounds and a PIR of 20) was the best of the Catalan victory at the Príncipe Felipe, with a great performance also from Joel Parra. Joventut takes advantage to be seeded in the ‘playoffs’, while Manresa stayed at 17 wins in their visit to Fontes do Sar.

The Galician team was also playing a lot from below and achieved the ninth victory that breaks the tie in the lower zone by avoiding relegation. The ‘Obra’ had courage and success to finish off a Manresa who forced extra time with a shot from Moneke, standing out once again along with Francisco and Sima. Robertson (25 points and 8 rebounds), Suárez, Scrubb and Birutis carried the local weight.

In addition, UCAM Murcia came from behind (84-93) against bottom team Coosur Real Betis to maintain the ‘Top 8’. The Andalusian team took the initiative, but the Murcian team, with Taylor in his umpteenth recital (20 points), gradually carved out his 14th win, eighth in the table.
