The match between Freiburg and Bayern Munich has experienced a totally anomalous situation. With just a few minutes to go, referee Christian Dingert stopped the match when he detected that the Bavarian team was playing with one more player.

Julian Nagelsmann wanted to make his last changes and a mess arose that may even cost Bayern victory in the offices.

The defending champion was with 12 men on the field for approximately 17 seconds, since Süle entered while Tolisso was still on the field. The referee realized this and decided to stop the game until the situation was resolved.

The match ended 1-4 in favor of Bayern, but Freiburg could claim an improper alignment and get the three points in the offices.
