Rayo Majadahonda adds three points after beating Unionistas 4-3

Majadahonda added three points to their locker after winning 4-3 against Unionistas this Saturday at Cerro del Espino. Rayo Majadahonda arrived with the intention of returning to the path of victory after losing the last match against Tudelano by a score of 3-0. With regard to the visiting team, the Unionistas achieved a goalless draw against Valladolid B, adding a point in the last game played in the competition. After the match, the Majariego team is third at the end of the match, while the Unionists are eleventh.

The match began positively for the Unionistas, who opened the scoring with a goal from Pablo Espina moments after the start of the match, in the 5th minute. But later, Rayo Majadahonda achieved a tie, making it 1-1 thanks to a goal from Mario in the 15th minute. However, the visiting team took the lead through a goal from Piña just before the final whistle, specifically in the 41st, thus closing the first half with the result 1-2.

The second half of the game got off to a good start for the Majariego team, who put the tables through a goal by Nando moments after the restart of the game, specifically in the 50th minute. After a new play, the local team increased the score by a goal by Javi Gómez in the 54th minute, allowing the 3-2. Later, a new opportunity increased the local score thanks to a goal by Rubén Sanchez in the 63rd minute that established the 4-2 for Majadahonda. However, in minute 66, the team from Salamanca got closer to the scoreboard through a goal by Luis Acosta, concluding the match with the score of 4-3.

During the game changes were made to both teams. The Majadahonda players who entered the game were Borja González, Manny, Juanjo, Mendes and Tropi to replace Ángel Bastos, Mario, Javi Gómez, Rubén Sanchez and Néstor Albiach, while the Unionistas were Muñoz, Jesús De Miguel, Jorge Mier, De La Nava and Pitu Doncel, who came in to replace Héctor Nespral, Cris Montes, Antonio Marín, Mandi and Pablo Espina.

In the match, the referee gave a yellow card only to the local team. Specifically, Osei was shown a yellow card.

With 50 points, Abel Gómez’s Rayo Majadahonda was in third place in the general table at the end of the match, in playoff position for promotion to the Second Division, while the team led by Luis Ayllón was in eleventh place with 41 points.

The next day, Rayo Majadahonda will face Deportivo, while the Salamanca team will play their match against Zamora.
