MADRID, 17 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Forward Karim Benzema and defender Ferland Mendy continue to be serious doubts about playing the Clásico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona this Sunday at the Santiago Bernabé after continuing to be out of the group.
The two French footballers were unable to finish the match in Mallorca last Monday due to muscular problems and although the club has not revealed any medical report on their physical condition so far, their presence against Xavi Hernández’s team is still far away at the moment.
Thus, as reported by Real Madrid on its website, both did not even go out to any of the fields of the Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas and for the second consecutive day they were working inside the facilities.
On the other hand, and after Benzema and Mendy were accompanied on Wednesday by Eden Hazard and Nacho Fernández, Carlo Ancelotti was already able to count on both of them in Thursday’s session, so they should be ready for the Clásico.
