Madrid cries out again against Sánchez Martínez

The Real Madrid he took the three points from Mallorca to deal another blow to the League in a game also marked by injuries to Benzema, Mendy and Rodrygo, who had to retire early with the Clásico just around the corner. In the white club there is great anger with the refereeing establishment because it is considered that there are rivals who are used excessively harshly (especially against Vinicius) with the approval of the referees, those on the pitch and those of the VAR.

The anger is even greater with Sánchez Martínez, who signaled a Maffeo strike on Vinicius’s knee as a throw-in and then admonished the Brazilian for confronting his marker. Within the club they understand that the referee can make mistakes, but they do not explain why the VAR disregards an action with the risk of injury to their footballer.

It is not the first time that Madrid has protested the treatment of Vinicius, the main target of almost all rivals for his dribbling and one-on-one football. In Vila-Real, also with Sánchez Martínez on the green, Madrid claimed two attacks on the Brazilian, one by Parejo and another by Albiol when he stuck his arm out in the area to prevent Vini’s pressure on Rulli. “You’ve played a lot, Albiol”, the Murcia referee told the yellow captain in some images that the performance captured and that unnerve the Brazilian even more.

Raíllo’s tackle on Rodrygo to the ankle in a split ball midway through the second half bothered Madrid more when they saw how the player had to retire helped by the assists. Madrid’s unofficial spokesman, Emilio Butragueño, warned again of the situation after the match in Mallorca. “The tackles on Vinicius and Rodrygo are very hard, they can involve an injury. The referee was close and they are very dangerous tackles. If he hasn’t seen them, the VAR has to intervene for football. You have to protect the players and those tackles they must be avoided for the good of all”, denounced the Vulture.
