Franck Ribéry suffers a head injury after a car accident

The French international Franck Ribéry suffered a traffic accident last morning in which there was “a slight head injury” that will keep him out for several days, his current team, the Italian US Salernitana 1919, has reported.

“Following a car accident, the footballer Franck Ribéry, who was not driving the vehicle, suffered a slight head injury,” the Campania entity, which plays in Serie A, said in a statement.

In addition, the club explained that, “as a precaution”, the French footballer, who had to be transferred to the hospital but has already been discharged, “will remain at rest for a few days”, without offering an estimated period of sick leave.

Ribéry, 38 years old and a former player for Bayern Munich (2007-19) and Fiorentina (2019-21), among others, signed for Salernitana in September of last year. Retired from the French team in 2014, he has 81 caps in which he has scored 16 goals.
