No news from Ramos

Sergio Ramos has been, along with Leandro Paredes and Ander Herrera, one of the main absences from PSG’s morning training session at Camp des Loges. The Spanish central defender still hasn’t trained with the rest of his teammates with just under 12 days to go until the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The Andalusian defender will be absent for this Saturday’s match against Saint-Étienne and the chances of seeing him dressed short against Nice on March 5 are slim. Ramos is currently recovering from a calf injury that has prevented him from playing the last five official games with PSG, which will be six counting Saint-Étienne. “Sergio Ramos continues his treatment and rehabilitation for an injury to his right calf, the resumption of racing is scheduled for the middle of next week, says PSG in its medical report.

That of Ramos will not be the only loss that Mauricio Pochettino will have to face the historic French club. Verratti will not be able to play either, since the Italian is absent due to the accumulation of cards. For its part, Messi, Mbappé and Neymar will play, against Saint-Étienne, their last game together before the match against Real Madridas the French international is suspended next week against Nice and will rest before traveling to the Santiago Bernabéu.
