García Bragado, appointed ambassador of the Oman Team Walking World Championships

The Spaniard Jesús Ángel García Bragado was appointed this Friday as ambassador of the World Championship for team walking that takes place in Muscat on March 4 and 5, recognition of the International Federation (World Athletics) to the great career of the already retired athlete.

‘Chuso’ ended his long and successful career at the age of 52, with a world gold medal and eight Olympic Games in his legs, last October. The man from Madrid will be part of the organization of the next big tournament and of the social events that will be held in the previous days in the capital of Oman.

The record man of the Games with his eighth experience ended his career after competing in Tokyo 2020. García Bragado also set a World Cup record, 13 editions with one gold (Stuttgart’93) and three silvers (Athens’97, Edmonton ’01 and Berlin ’09).
