The German Daniel Siebert will arbitrate Villarreal-Juventus

The German Daniel Siebert will be in charge of refereeing this Tuesday the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 between Villarreal and Juventus at the Estadio de la Cerámica, UEFA confirmed this Sunday.

The 37-year-old German referee will direct a match for the Castellón team for the second time, after imparting justice in the first leg of the 2020-21 Europa League quarterfinals, in which the ‘Yellow Submarine’ beat home to Dinamo Zagreb (0-1).

For his part, the Spanish Jesús Gil Manzano will be the referee in charge of the other match on Tuesday, the one between Chelsea and Lille at Stamford Bridge. In addition to the Extremaduran, the Canarian Alejandro Hernández Hernández will also have responsibilities in the match as a VAR referee.
