The Ajax announced this Sunday late at night the dismissal of its sports director Marc Overmars for “sending messages to other workers of the entity that crossed the limits”, according to the statement from the ‘ajacied’ group. But just one day after the dismissal was known, a newspaper from the Dutch country goes one step further to clarify what happened.
According to ‘Het Parool’, Overmars, in addition to the off-tone messages mentioned in the notice of his dismissal, he would also have sent photos of his penis to a club worker.

“I am very embarrassed. Last week I confronted my behavior. Unfortunately, I did not realize that I had crossed the line, but in the last few days it has become clear to me and I want to apologize. Now I realize what I have done, but it’s too late,” declared the Marc Overmars.
Until now the sporting director of the Ajax, who played for that club from 1992 to 1997, winning a Champions League, returned to the entity in 2012 to end up becoming sports director in February 2013. He had recently extended his contract to continue in that position until June 2026.
