Don Benito takes all three points against San Fernando (1-3)

Don Benito 1-3 triumph over San Fernando last match of the Second RFEF. San Fernando arrived with the intention of increasing their score after drawing 2-2 in the last match played against Coria. On the visitors’ side, Don Benito won their last match 2-0 in the competition against Tamaraceite in their fiefdom. Thanks to this result, the Dombenitense team is ninth, while San Fernando is seventeenth at the end of the game.

The match started in an unbeatable way for the Gran Canaria team, who took advantage of the play to open the scoring thanks to a direct free-kick from Manu Alemán in minute 6. However, Don Benito in minute 15 reacted and leveled the contest with a goal from eleven meters from Abraham Pozo, thus ending the first half with the result of 1-1.

In the second half came the goal for the Dombenitense team, who turned the spotlight with a goal from Dani Martínez in the 60th minute. The visiting team added again, which increased the score through a goal from Raly in the 63rd minute. Finally, the confrontation ended with a 1-3 on the scoreboard.

The referee decided to caution three players. On the part of the locals, the yellow card went to Andrés and on the part of Don Benito Gonzalo and Trinidad were admonished.

With 21 points, Roberto Aguirre’s team ranked ninth in the table, while the team led by Tino Deniz was seventeen with 11 points, relegated to the Third Division, at the end of the game.

The next day the Gran Canaria team will play at home against Tamaraceite, while Don Benito will seek victory away from home against Mensajero.
