Morabanc Andorra-Slask Wroclaw postponed due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in the Polish team

MADRID, 5 One. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Morabanc Andorra-Slask Wroclaw of matchday 9 in the EuroCup, scheduled for Tuesday, January 11, has been suspended due to an outbreak of positives for COVID-19 in the Polish team, which does not have eight professional players to face the meeting.

The match corresponding to day 9 of the regular phase of the EuroCup was already on the air after the request of the Poles, who, according to what they have confirmed, have been left without troops and have seen the postponement accepted.

“Slask requested suspension due to local legislation imposing quarantine measures after several members tested positive for COVID-19, which leaves the team without the minimum of eight players on the Authorization List fit to play,” said the EuroCup.

Following the Special Regulation due to COVID-19, approved by the Executive Board of Shareholders of ECA, each match can be rescheduled up to three times, as long as there are available dates. The EuroCup “will coordinate with the affected teams the best options to reschedule the matches” and the new date will be announced on the official platforms of the competition.
