Real Oviedo eat the grapes in the playoff zone

Real Oviedo beat Ponferradina in a match marked by the early expulsion of Espiau, which the Blues dominated even though it was difficult for them to score and which finally fell apart when the visitors, who ended up with eight players on the field, lost two other players: Naranjo, with a direct red and Tuft, for a double yellow.

The Asturian team took advantage of the inferiority of their adversary, with three players less and a penalty against that definitively sentenced the clash.

The game started in the worst way for Ponferradina, who was left with one less after Espiau saw the direct red for an unnecessary foul on the exit of the ball from Oviedo in which the visiting attacker’s studs ended up on the Oviedo’s ankle Jimmy.

Until then, a counter directed by Paris Adot that defeated Femenías had been the clearest of the Bercianos, who were not going to have any more until the break.

Oviedo dominated the ball but did not take advantage of the numerical superiority to reach the goal defended by Lucho García with real danger; only Jirka came close to committing the goalkeeper in a corner that Copete cleared and then Viti made his own attempt with a cross from the left that found no shot in the area.

Not even changing Viti to the band and placing Borja Sánchez did Ziganda get his people to see the door, while Bolo commissioned to look for Sergio Enrich, who tried to unload on the ends to create problems in the blue rear but also did not manage to reach the rival area .

In the second half, with the entry of Sangalli, Pombo and Obeng, Ziganda relegated Viti to the right side and placed Borja Sánchez and the Donostiarra in bands, covering from the flanks the couple formed by Pombo and an Obeng who entered the Announcement on the same match day, like Costas.

Near game time, the blue team had the clearest in a pass from Cornud to Sangalli in the area that was ultimately taken out by a providential Lucho García, and only a few seconds later Gálvez Rascón ran to the band to send off a direct red. Naranjo, who was preparing to go out into the field.

Jimmy, Obeng and Borja finished Ponferradina with a goal a few minutes later in which the captain started the play, the Ghanaian striker assisted Borja with a high heel and he defined perfectly against a Lucho García who could do little to avoid the so blue.

Sverio from afar and Copete on a corner kick tried to cut the gap, but the effort was too much for Jon Pérez Bolo’s men and in addition to not hitting the mark, they ended up paying for it by conceding another born-again goal against: Gálvez Rascón scored a penalty on Pombo that the same player executed and ended up expelling Copete for making robbery gestures to protest the review.
