Hours before closing the year 2021 and opening in 2022, Joan Laporta has sent an institutional message as president of the Barça wishing health to all the culés and promising work at all levels so that the club recovers financially and once again becomes the world reference at the football level with a younger team. He also emphasized the challenge of starting the works of the new Camp Nou so that the Barça space be a reality in a few years.

“Hello culés, on these dates we usually make a compilation of what we have done during the year that we said goodbye and mark a good purpose for next year. But, above all, in these times, I want to wish you good health for all You and your loved ones Take care, protect yourself, get vaccinated, to defeat this Covid-19 pandemic.
That said, 2021 has been a year of ups and downs. I operate in Barcelona, we have decided to start a new stage. A new stage that no longer prolongs the degradation of a glorious stage.
We want to start a new stage and we are doing it by building a soccer team with young people who are excited, young people who come from La Masia and others who will come from abroad. With some professional sections, basketball, handball, hockey and futsal, which continue to be successful and a women’s football that keeps winning titles.
Also 2022 will be the beginning of the works of the new Camp Nou, of Barça space. The most important institutional project in the history of the club and we have to be proud. And we must participate in the construction of the future of FC Barcelona.
Look, 2022 will be a very intense year full of motions and the board that I have the privilege of chairing, our executives, employees and employees, will continue working to recover the club’s economy.
